Carpet Cleaning in Orlando Main

What are care cards?
InstaDRY made these care cards to help you keep your flooring in the best condition. If these techniques are used in addition to being on a periodic InstaDRY Floor maintenance plan, you will save a lot of money in the long run. It is not unheard of to see well maintained floors last 20 years or more while non-maintained flooring may only last 7 years.

Carpet Care Card

  1. Vacuum Frequently
Heavy Traffic areas should be hit twice weekly and the rest once weekly. This simple step prevents discoloration and allows for longer lasting flooring. Each area should be vacuumed from at least 2 directions.
  2. Use a Quality Vacuum
Use a vacuum that will not loose airflow. Here is one that we suggest: Sirena. Replace bags/filters following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  3. Protection
Using both an outdoor “scraper” and indoor “wiper” mat can add years to your carpet. Learn more here.
  4. OOPS! Wet Spills -
Lay a folded clean towel on top of the spill, but make sure there's weight on it. Leave for several hours or until all moisture has been absorbed to the towel. Do this prior to any cleaner addition.
  5. Professional Maintenance
To maximize the life of your carpet and maintain the health of your indoor environment, consider having a professional maintenance clean twice a year. InstaDry offers special rates to current clients.

Hardwood Care Card

  1. Liquid is your Worst Enemy
Liquid rapidly affects wood in negative ways. If there is a spill quickly dry it with a towel. Use mats or rugs in front of the kitchen sink, washer, and doorways.
  2. Vacuum, don't Sweep or Swiffer
Use a vacuum that will not loose airflow. Here is one that we suggest: Sirena. Replace bags/filters following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  3. Furniture is Sharp
All furniture should be placed over a rug or a soft pad as to avoid scratching or imprinting.
  4. Prevent Fading
Simply closing the blinds will prevent fading. Anywhere the sun shines through is a hazard.
  5. Prevent Soiling
Wood takes on a darkened and dirty appearance as it is soiled. Wood is soiled as dirt and dust aggregates on the surface of the finish. Aggregation can be prevented by keeping humidity from 35-55% and dusting weekly.
  6. Professional Maintenance
To maximize the life of your hardwood flooring and maintain the health of your indoor environment, consider having a professional maintenance clean once a year. InstaDry offers special rates to current clients.

Area Rug Care Card

  1. Do not beat it up
It is a misconception that “shaking out a rug” is an effective way to clean it. This leads to rapid wear and tear while also soiling from incomplete cleaning.
  2. Use a Quality Vacuum
Use a vacuum that will not loose airflow. Here is one that we suggest: Sirena. Replace bags/filters following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  3. Cleaning Frequency
Vacuuming should occur weekly. Dirt can gather on the fine fibers more rapidly than others.
  4. Corner Quartering
Never vacuum within the diameter of a quarter from the edge of your rug. This area has sensitive knotting and connections.
  5. OOPS! Wet Spills -
Lay a folded clean towel on top of the spill, but make sure there's weight on it. Leave for several hours or until all moisture has been absorbed to the towel. Do this prior to any cleaner addition.
  6. Professional Maintenance

  1. Read the label and know your cleaning code:
W: Clean using only water. Harsh chemicals will damage this furniture.
S: Clean using only solvent. This means the surface can be cleaned using a soap.
SW: Can be cleaned using any conventional cleaning mechanism
X: This code means that you should not apply water or solvents to this piece of furniture.
  2. How to Clean a Spot
    1. Start by scraping excess food off with a dull edge.
    2. Dampen a microfiber towel by spraying it with water.
    3. Using a circular motion, work the towel over the stain towards the center of the stain.
    4. Rinse the cloth and repeat as necessary until the stain is removed.

Tile & Grout Care Card

  1. Steps for Cleaning Tile with Grout
    A. Vacuum- Swiffers and brooms push dirt into grout. Use a vacuum that will not loose airflow. Here is one that we suggest: Sirena.
    B. Change Mop Water Frequently- Dirty water will stain grout.
    C. Grout brush- Using a Grout brush will keep your grout sanitary.
Note: A good steam mop with grout brush can accomplish steps 2 and 3 while saving you time and hassle. We recommend the Steam Boy© Steam Mop.
  2. Do not use hazardous material
Acids: Destroy grouting. Bleaches: Noxious to worker and damaging to surface. Ammonia: Damages coloring on grout and tile. Detergents: Leaves residues that cause rapid soiling.
